I've been a Realtor in Gig Harbor, Pierce County since 1980. I have earned the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation, and I have been the recipient of the Pierce County Realtor Association Sales Achievement Award every year since the award's inception nine years ago. I specialize in all residential properties (including raw land), and I work for WINDERMERE - a company that dominates the northwest real estate market because of its professional and caring approach to its clients - both buyers and sellers. Although I was born in New England and spent my formative years in California, Gig Harbor has been my home for many years. I received my Secondary Teaching Credential from the University of California, Berkeley, and then attended the University of Washington to earn my Masters in English Literature. I taught high school in Ketchum/Sun Valley and then Washington, where I was a Chairman of The Foreign Language Dept. at Charles Wright Academy in University Place. I continue to do some teaching and enjoy my contact, not only with the world of continuing education, but with the world of teenagers as well. Keeping a hand in teaching has also allowed me to follow a passion: Spanish and the cultures where it is spoken. Why Puget Sound Is My Home
It was graduate school that first brought me to the northwest, but it is the beauty of trees, mountains, and water, and of course the people, that keep me here. I have kayaked Puget Sound from Olympia to the San Juan Islands, and I'm forever impressed with how easily you can escape into the wilderness ? by foot, bike, kayak or on cross-country skis. But living in the Puget Sound area is not just about wilderness activities. I've found the region's cultural offerings to be exceptional. I am actively involved in urban life and culture as a Board Member of the Book-It Repertory Theater Company and co-owner of St. Clouds, a popular neighborhood bistro in Seattle.
